The Nigerians in Diaspora (NIDOA), USA, Florida Chapter is pleased to co-host and invite the general public to the first ever ‘Destination Nigeria’ on Friday October 4, 2019 at The African Heritage Research Library and Cultural Center (AHRLCC) at 6 pm. The event is part of the Destination Fridays Series organized by the AHRLCC; and is scheduled to coincide with the Nigerian Independence celebrations.
It will feature an exhibition of Nigerian arts, crafts, cuisine, and fashion; musical and cultural performances as well as Nigerian food/signature drinks tasting, cultural training and travelogue. Learn to tie the famous Nigerian GELE and listen to folk stories of timeless wisdom. This is a great opportunity to meet the good peoples of Nigeria and partake of authentic cultural display of some of the over 265 ethnic groups that make up the country. Nigeria is Africa’s largest economy and is the seventh most populous nation on earth. It has many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves such as the Cross River National Park and Yankari National Park with waterfalls, dense rainforest, savanna and rare primate habitats and the Zuma Rock fortress.

Nigerians in Diaspora Organization, Americas (NIDOA), USA, Florida is one of the chapters that constitute NIDOA USA, whose goal is to connect Nigerian professionals in the Diaspora for the purpose of advancing their impact in their host country and country of heritage. The Florida chapter was chartered on July 17, 2019.
